Alister started popper fishing back in the days before braid. He still holds a Mission Beach Club record for a GT – 21.8 kg, caught on a homemade popper (made from a piece of sugarcane) on 4 kg line.

Whether its on big bait shoals on the Great Barrier Reef or  over and around Island reefs,rocks, points and headlands Alister and crew love getting their guests Hooked Up on poppers, jigs and lures.
